A Perfect Gift for Someone You Love

A Perfect Gift for Someone You Love

Discovering natural body nutrition

I love my body and my life. I want to respect my life and reward my body with the healthiest nutrients.

In our society, this could be very challenging. And when you try to read the labels, it could be a headache. I spend so much time analyzing labels and ingredients. I am curious to know what I am buying. Now, my rule is simple: when I see a paragraph explaining all the ingredients and there are three or more that I can’t even pronounce, I put it back where it belongs and move on.

I recently fell in love — with my soap bar. A couple of months ago, I received a small thank you gift at my friend’s wedding: an emu neem soap bar and an emu lip balm. I was so impressed with these products that I decided to research the company. To my surprise, their place of production is in my city! Body to Earth was launched in Pointe-Claire, in the West Island of Montreal in 2002, in the home of John and Martha Shannon. And all their product collections are still being made in their kitchen today. I met Martha and Heidi — two eco-preneurs who are passionate about their products.

There are so many things I love about this company. I will name a few reasons here. First of all, Body to Earth is a transparent company. Their website (see link below) describes all of their products used in detail — and why they are used — including their place of origin on a map! They use such products like emu oil, argan oil, neem, shea butter, essential oils, etc. All the recipes are made from scratch and they never use chemically based cosmetic bases which are readily available. They don’t use sulphates, parabens or polysorbates which most mainstream products do. They also don’t use fragrances, perfumes, dyes or any harsh preservatives. All their products are either 100% natural, or 93% natural for creams and lotions where an emulsifier is needed.

Because their lines of products are so natural, they have a short shelf life, hence their small containers. For best use of Body to Earth products, you can keep them refrigerated or in a cool place. The owners have decided not to sell their products at just any health stores or pharmacy, they rather sell their products to passionate sellers or clients who will enjoy their products for what they truly are.

There is something for everyone, including gluten free and vegan versions. Also, they recently launched two new additions: anti-odour sticks and tooth cleansers. You can easily find something to offer to a loved one, maybe yourself. I’m so excited because I no longer need to read labels, I just grab and go!
